Dallas, Gerogie, Sam, and Brandy give you lots of doggie hugs and slurps for visiting their page! Here, I will let you in on some of their antics and their backgrounds. We are very much involved in dog rescue and we promote spaying and neutering. Yes, puppies are fun for a while, but they grow into DOGS. They are a lot of work and require a lot of attention!
First, let me introduce Brandy. Brandy is the "old lady" of the bunch. She is a 9-year-old German Shepherd. We got her from a backyard breeder. She has a crooked nose and she has had numerous problems with her hips, but we wouldn't trade her for anything! Before the rest of the gang came along, she was rather lonely and sad, but now, she zooms around the yard like a pup again!
Next, we have Sampson. Sammy is 3-years-old and he is a daddy's boy. He loves my husband to pieces and can't stand for him to be upset with him at any time. We have had him since he was 5 weeks old and he is the best! He is incredibly protective and is choosy about who he likes and dislikes. He is great with the kids and Georgie absolutely adores him. He and Dallas have their days, but they get along well also. He loves to go in the truck and on walks. He also loves ice. I have never seen a dog eat as much ice as he does! If you drop an ice cube, he is in heaven! He is also a really bad chocolate thief...
Here is Dallas. He is looking at the chicks that we hatched as a combination 4-H and Homeschool project. Dallas is about 4-years-old. He was a rescue from Hurricane Floyd that hit here on the east coast a few years ago. He is the first rescue dog that we had gotten. He is a momma's boy and follows me EVERYWHERE!! His favorite place is in my lap. He is really good with the kids and does a great "kidney bean" dance. He loves bananas and pizza crust. He loves to be with his people and will jump the fence when there is a storm coming up to come to the front door to be let in.
Finally, we have Georgiana. She is the newest member of our pack, and she is 8-months-old. She came from the Rockin' P rescue all the way from Alabama. We wanted one more and she won our hearts. She is a mess, always looking for something to munch on. The reason that she was in rescue is because the person who owned her mother had a litter and then decided that they didn't want to deal with the dogs anymore. The mother and the entire litter were turned in. Think about it, if everyone did this, there would be millions of dogs that were turned in to rescue. Please, spay or neuter your pet!
